Ive got Avon ZV1s in 194/45 R16 on my alloys and one is bald as Vibs but i know you cant get ZV1s anymore, ive spoken to a few tyre places and they said steer clear of the new Avon ZV3s because they are a different type of tread pattern?

Does anyone know which tyres have the closest tread pattern to the ZV1s?

I only need one, Cheers

I have used ZZ3's for 3 years. Wanted to try Eagle F1s, but tyre place had none in stock so went for avons again

IMO an excellent tyre for the price. in the dry or wet.

Just get a pair of the ZV3s. Aslong as the tread matches on each axel then you'll be fine.

hankook are good, relatively cheap, ford put them on their new cars as standard, so they cant be bad

failing that, try uniroyal, they seem quite good for the money judging by the feedback we get at work

are they balls
mega, nankang, barum, wanli, jintong, westlake, they are budget

hankook are mid range, fair enough, they aint no goodyear copy, but for the money you pay, you get a much better tyre than anything in its price range

a set of hankooks will do 70k, as apposed to a set of budget tyres which will do around 40k, and have no grip in comparison

however, i still wouldnt buy them myself, i'd buy a set of p6000s or conti sportcontacts

Falken 451s are the worst tyre i have ever seen. I had the displeasure of having them on my first set of 17"s.

Everyone bangs on about how 17" wheels dont handle. I suspect none of the people who say this had decent tyres.
