does any1 have this book. if so can u it b done for such small money. would like to build a kit car for an on going project but need to realisticaly know the money situation of producing one.

It can but you have to do everything!
The best way is to buy a locost chassis, and then buy a 2ltr sierra with the tpe 9 box.
Transfer all the running gear etc etc into the chassis, buy some wheels and decent suspension, and buy the body kit from locost, stuart taylor, whatever one you fancy.
I say realistically you can build a pinto engine with a good spec car for 2-4k depending!
Anyless and you will be making panels, welding the chassis, and cutting corners

ah i always thought there must be more to it than it seemed.
woudl love one like ur dads green one u posted up on here, but that cost a fortune but would like a simlar shaped one maybe not with a hugely powerful engine tho.

the ron champion book is very much u make this and u make that etc etc!
Just buy a rolling chassis from someone like stuart taylor - my dads
and then buy a sierra as the donor car and change all the bits over!
You can build a pinto engine kit car for 3k on a budget,
dads has a 3k engine, plus diff, seats, dash, it all adds upto about 13k!
The new one costing 25k!!!
