how does it come apart
Gsi seat,

how does the base come away from back bit etc...

going to go and have a look but thought i would ask the knowledgeable people on here 1st...

started it, bottom fabric is away from seat base and foam..

trying top part now..

that grinder was actually used to remove the seats from my old corsa as I couldnt be arsed finding a bit to fit the bolts

mav, can you send pics of this please??? I want to do the same to mine... somethings not 'right' with the feel of the drivers seat atm... feels spongy like a spring has come loose

eh they are kinda in bits now...

the bottom fabric is only held round front and side with cardboard,
lossed it at back but I had to rip it away from sponge as it's aconnected with metal etc,

I wouldn't do this if you wanted to keep the seats.

I just want fabric off!!!

to see if it's salvageable and able to trim the other drivers seat i have..

I am ripping fuck ou the top part....

so its all pretty much sealed up & bonded then???

hmmmm makes re-trimming it that little bit harder

drivers bolster is worn & the metal supporting rail (the black bit) is now pokin though as even the padding has gone

this bottom part came off in one piece..


try and retrim the lhs bit and then fit it to my other drivers seat if possible...

All i want really is the middle part.

but it'a all stiched underneath, might try and pick away the stiching.

need to put the middle part on too on my spare drivers seat.

but wouldn't mind the bolster material aswell, will just be a pain trying to fit it though....

Just the LHS bolster bit yeah?
