How much for a Smoke grey GSI WITHOUT an engine in it? Bodies in good nick - only problem is the drivers side sideskirt upturn is missing and a dent in that rear 3/4 panel

or would it be better to split it and sell kit, wheels, tailgate, bonent etc etc etc and scrap the shell

I wouldn't bother with DP's car.
Just get a Cav GSi or Astra GTE and break it for parts and keep the engine if you want a 2.0XE

How much are you looking at for a 1.6XE to put it back to standard anyway?
Too much hassle IMO.

ha u guessed my plan - benefits - it'll be ner enoguh - take it out - put it in - all parts are there - and by taking it out - I'll know how to put it in "in theory"
Ive got my eye on a cheap C16xe on one of the southern sites I use - so I'll see how low DP. will go

I offered £1500 and he wont take it... wants closer to 2k - but personally dont think its worth it with the bodywork damage to the drivers rear 3/4

for any1 that doesnt understand cause Im not sure when I reread what I put
theres a C20XE engined corsa for sale near home - it runs near enough perfectly - but the drivers side of the bodywork needs attention
I was gonna buy the car, rip theengine out and put it in mine (as it'll have al lthe necessary fittings) then sell the shell; or reengine it with a 1.6 or strip it and scrap what I cant sell

Is the engine special?
You would be best refitting a 16xe imo if you can pick one uip cheap enough, anything you will take off to put on yours can be swapped with's currently on yours (brakes etc)
