any idea how you see info/apply for one of these and how much they cost?

dvla's website (from what i can find) only has information on how to drive over here if you're from abroad, not the other way round.

any help appreciated fellas.

All I know is that you have to be 21 to own one. Try emailin gthem sure they will be able to point you in the right direction

call insurance for a green card if you wanna drive abroad so you havve same level of cover as you have in the uk

Nah, won't have a car mate, will be using car hire so insurance dont matter.

Thanks for that CCA, but is that to cover myself for insurance purposes or for an actual driving licence? I would of thought you go to the dvla for a one?

What is the purpose of an IDP?
The categories you are entitled to drive will be marked on the IDP
according to the information you provided to us. An IDP is useful
therefore when hiring a car or if stopped by an official while abroad.
However, your full UK licence and your passport should still be carried with you at all times.
