I turned my other PC on today for the first time in 3 months... All it does is make a beep noises on and off for about a second at a time. Nothing is displayed on the screens - and there is no output to the screens either becuase they stay on standby... It's a Dell Dimension running a Pentium 4.
Anyone know what happened to my baby?

It's a 3v battery, and my multi meter says 3v.... Anything else?

Look in your manual for the bios fault codes. If nothing's on screen it's usually memory or CPU (or GPU).
Try reseating everything.
Last but not least, if the PSU has gone then it could be fooking everything up.
Dead cmos batteries don't usually cause things to not turn on, they just don't remember your customised bios settings or the time/date when you turn them off....

Dell instruction manuals tell you what colour plug goes in what hole.... They wont let me look at the online manuals properly because I don't have the service tag and I refuse to phone them because they don't speak English Will try re seating the memory and CPU, have also had the battery out for a few mins so it should have re-set itself....
