it certainly could look alot worse, so im sitting on the fence with this one. Although it seems to be one of those marmite moments - love it, hate it etc.

I have to suffer VWs all bloody day so I am biased and absolutely loathe the MK V Golf (it's just a big fat 9N Polo that looks a bit like a Civic and even more like the same sized Peugeot), but if VW had made it look like that silver one I could probably tolerate it better.
MK V fronts seem a little too cluttered to me (especially the GTi) so I like the simple clean look of the silver one.
Saying that, visuals are pretty much academic when that horrid raspy FSI or rattly old diseasel lump fires up - neither are exactly what you could call music to your ears.
