Dont make me laugh Erm they are torquier at lower revs then fade away rapidly. 8v's only have what 105 bhp? how is that keeping up with valvers Also why would you choose an 8v over a 16v (other than insurance reasons) its like choosing between a healthy hamster and an infested one

i had a race with a corrado 16v, mk3 vr6, mk1 with 2.016v, and left hand drive syncro (4wd) Rallye on way from cruise points, i should have easily stayed with the corrado but i couldnt get round the corners quick enough cos my bearings fucked and didnt want it to explode
was a good laugh tho, i seriously need bigger brakes mind
