My girl friend wants me to be more possesive... normally with women they want us blokes to be less possesive! so im bit confused and wondering if anyone can think of a reason why she wants me to be more possesive or been in the same situation?

No its a balance, just enough to know you are worried but not too much so that she feels she can't move. She might just be worried that you are not too fussed about the whole thing.
