Went to motorworld today and ordered myself a beautiful snake!!!
they call it the Viper Pipercross Induction kit!! UH NO!!!!
so i'm soon gonna have the snake under the bonnet, and in time for performance vauxhall for those of you who wanna listen to it and see the beauty of it.
only set me back £249.99...........GULP................. but i've been told it'll be money well spent and i wont be dissapointed. anyone on here got a viper? its goin into the GSi so it should be pretty good and sound pretty loud.
anyone got any idea how it improves the engine?

well ive heard plenty about them and how folk say they sound good and all, but i bought a similar thing from a hardware store near to me and it has a direct air feed from the front grill exactly the same and i spent 70 notes,
havent bothered fitting the air feed like works just fine as it is

there's not much to gain on majority of cars by changing the way the air is filtered
sounds a lot of money, when u think thatcan buy a CAT back stainless steel exhaust system for about the same amount, Getting a lot more for the money

not a waste of money at all, if your going to mod your car and want one of the best filters then its great, as for the cold air feed, its ace if you can get it somehwere that has cold air flow, im yet to find somewhere without cutting the bumper...
as for sound, it wont be loud at all, but if you want an induction kit for noise you may aswell use a sock!

Broster speaks the truth - get the air feed to a decent location and you'll have one of the best performing filters on the market.

No because if you posted that you'd bought an open cone filter, you'd have some idiot saying "waste of money you should have just got a panel filter for £32 and saved the other £35 on something else"

K&N originally invented a re-usable air filter that required less maintence than a paper one
nowadays they turned into a £250 performance enhancing weapon
bit suspect to me, end of the day its a FILTER, nothing more

but the viper is a way of derestricting the air box, allowing air to flow better and filter it well, without hindering the air flow to much!

the other reason i got it is because not many people have them and its something different.
i'm not taking any short cuts with this car, everything will be spent well and expensively.
you get what you pay for and i doubt they'll be many people with viper filters in a corsa GSi at the shows this year, i wanted something different to the usually K&n or Piperx filter.
i think its money wel spent, from what i've heard of them its money very well spent, but i spose i'll see for myself.
pics to be posted when it arrives, due in store on 10th april.
Mart.
