today. Got a rear axle off a cav sri 130 from the scrap yard-loads of those around. Only cost £25!
Anway, got it home, stripped the bits off it I need, and cleaned and painted it all up...thats as far As i have got so far. Do you need the protective cover behind the disc for an MOT, as i cut mine off (due to rust and the like)?
Finished it today-for anyone wanting to do it themselves, it is possible! (if you have a welder). Found the most taxing bit the hand brake cable. Got a cav mk3 one in the end, welded a threaded M8 bar to it, and used that. Cant use the origional corsa one as its too long.
All in all not too hard, just fairly time consuming. But definately worth doing, felt a big difference in braking.
