not a vaux but i wonder if its the same either way
cars starting to hesitate then jump forward, like surge of power and a bit spluttery, is intermittent though, eg drove to leeds and back twice no probs in 1 day... but next day kangaroo'ed for hours?
changed dizzy and new leads.... changed accelerator pedal
reckon it could be the fuel pressure regulator?
cos is also doin bout 50mile to a tenner at the mo... its normally pretty shite but not that bad

Next doors golf used to do this (& cut out sometimes) and found it was a split on the rubber housing going into the TB - may be worth checking around there?boggle?

thanks for that...... i dont hav a clue where the throttle body on this car is... i dont know jack about VAG engines
