my mate has been going on about his cavalier 2.0 8v CDX since the start of time and he thinks it'll beat my car at quarter mile at santa pod (PVs2005)
his car :
cavalier 2.0L 8v CDX
Mods : Power boost valve, Custom exhaust system, Pipercross air filter.
My Car : Corsa B 1.6 16v GSi
Mods : Ecotec Valve, 4:2:1 branch manifold, Straight through powerflow exhaust system with de-cat pipe, Remair filter (to be installed soon).
how do u think we'll flair up, i really dont wanna loose and if its gonna be close i might just take my mate up on the offer of a 2.0L 16v.........depending on funds+insurance.

the cavalier is just too a heavy car to compete with the lightweight corsa.
a standard cav2.0 8v would be around 110-120bhp.
you'd win in a 1/4mile drag and 0-60

you might win...
you might not...
depends on the skill of the driver!
but if your a good driver, I can't see it as being a problem!

i'm a better driver than him by far.
he wants to put a wager on it, best of 3 runs. you think i should risk it or get a set of cams so that i'm sure to beat him?
plus he has done 10,000 more miles than me.
adam-D - he has a standard gearbox.

you will beat him anyway, but if you want more power get either :
Velos, mantzel, dbilas inlet and a unichip. or lexmaul do an inlet gives less overall bhp but has good midrange torque i belive
