Got sent a link by a mate saying someting like omg click here its funny, link was apparantly a pdf file but it was actually a virus. Its also been sent to other people on my contact list, so ive gone offline to stop it happening, but my antivirus doesnt recognise it. What can i do to get rid of it? And to anyone on my contact list, dont click the link!

Couldnt be arsed clickin it as I dont trust .PIF files. Just closed window and ignored the twocer who tried sending me the msg

aaahh was it a pif file? im using the tv as a monitor at the moment and its on split screen so small, thought it said pdf! Ah well, sorted now with AVG

He probably didn't "Try" to send the message. Those said Viruses are usually sent without the owner knowing. Typical Names I have been sent are; Funny, Crease-Up, Wicked Picture, Sex and Funny Pic.

its not that the were stupid to download it, but when you have it, it sends everyone online on your contacts the virus. some people accidently accept it.

to get rid of it, you can go into safe mode, delete the 9 files in the C: drive, then search for isass and delete those 2 files. then restart and all is fine
