think it removes bugs and glue residues/tree sap etc pretty effectively. better than tar and wax cleaner. if it's what i'm thinking of.

we use 3m cleaner clay m8 is wicked stuff removes all sorts of contam and shit off ur paint,only worth using t on upward facing panels,the dirt that ends up on it is shocking even when u think the car is clean s quite expensive 2
