Thats the discretionary period in which they are allowed to let you off if, in the officers opinion, a quick talking to will do just as good as a ticket. Over this they should really prosecute, but they may also under as well.

More difficult to evidence one below 10%+3 though as well, hence why you don't see many.

Whats the point in you posting under this false name Joff? Your posts are gay enough as it is without pretending to be this dumbnut.

Thats the rules, I'm very sure they're not adhered to in the vast majority of cases.

Like I said a number of hours ago, drive the car at an appropriate speed for the conditions and stop worrying.

If the NIP arrives respond to it. Until then you have not been done, do not buy a car (£100) to ram the camera down (£1000/community service) to save yourself a ticket you don't have.

Was a reasonable speed i think. 4MPH here and there is nothing.

Was hoping to get the new 107 GTi (if they release it) in 6 - 12 months but if i get done then that out the window. Was gonna use my 3NCB on that and start a fresh on the Focus.

Peugeot Nut, YOU are a fucking idiot. Why are you getting worked up over small shit like this?!? Were you dropped on your head as a baby? 4mph over the limit will NOT trigger a speed camera FFS, i used to drive 45mph past camera's in a 40 zone.

IIRC speeding in a 20mph zone isn't an endorsable offence unless you are going over 30mph.

So at worst it'll be a fine, but no points.

Can u get 20 limits? i thought that was only ever a suggested speed in built up areas hence the reason they use green for them?

i might be wrong, just what i always thought.

yeah there are a few 20 areas around. There is one in Stevenage old town, WITH speed bumps every 10ft, its a pain in the ass, either revving the car in 1st, or stalling in 2nd

Are the ones with green round them just suggested speeds though, or does that indicate a limit?

most of the 20 limits down here are on school roads, and they even put speed bumps down, incase you think "fuck it"

theres 2 20mph limits near me & they're both school roads too! Yes they are a pain in the backside, but surely a bit of inconvenience is better than killing a kid! A friend of mine managed to hit a kid just the other day after she ran out from behind a bus! Fortunately he was under the speed limit & had just about come to a stop when he hit her, girl was absolutely fine, but it scared the life out of him! Doesnt bear thinking about what could have happened though if he'd been going just a little bit faster!
