If i were connecting some cold cathode tubes in my front foot wells where would you say is the easiest 12v socket for me to connect them to???????

cigarette lighter is the easiest, not the correct way to do it but I suspect you wont want to run a live from the battery with an in line fuse to a dizzy block earth via the chassy

Ciggie lighter would be fine as the current draw for these is very low. You could also just take out a high rating fuse in your fusebox, take the sheathing off the wire and push it in, then put the fuse back in to keep the cable tight in there.
I have it done with quite a few things and its not an electrical hazard.
