You still have to use a key for that type don't you??. I have one with a switch like this. Does not need keys at all.

i was lloking at one for my key fob, thn i realsied my kep has a chip in it... is there away round it?

it says it doesn't matter if theres a chip in the key etc

i'd want one where i had to use the key tbh, i'd rather not make my car eay to twoc...:O

I have the controls of my head unit where my ingition barrel used to be, and the switch the opposite side. You can onlt start my car using the switch, if the car is unlocked and the alarm dis-armed.

No I havent, I'll Try and explain. I've totally removed my ignition barrel, and re wired the ignition up to the switch. The switch is mounted on the left hand side if the dash board, on the little plastic panel under the fuel gauge in the dash. Where my ingition barrel used to be, I now have the remote control for my stereo mounted, to fill the hole. It's the round Joystick that comes with the Sony CDXCA900 head unit. like the one in the pic here.

Viper Alarm systems can start your car, unlock the car, pop the boot lid, and about 40 different other things when programmed to..

only available from america tho and they are the Same ones as the Alarms used in Pimp my ride...

The only thing is though remote start on your alarm, invalidates your insurance policy.

I'm sure last time I was at the Clifford Specialist they had a new Viper product. So maybe its not only available in America after all.
