just fitted a BFO to a 1.2 8v, didnt come with anything to fit it so had to force it in pipe and jubilee it, is this right? Also doesnt have any bolts to hold it down so cable tied it and it wobbles a bit, is this right? Also do i need to cover the hole up thats now left in manifold? What do i do with red pipe thats left from air box? Reason for all the questions is just that it doesn't seem right for the above resons and it doesn't sound as loud as people make it to be but i think this is because it needs cleaning and my engine is wee
any help appreciated

Remove the filter and rev your car.
The induction kit won't make the engine any louder, but it will give it a different note.
Clean the filter, fit it as you've described above - you should get a small bracket to hold the filter neck close to the original airbox mount on the suspension turret.
For the red pipe, blank it off with a washer and a self-tapping screw, then tuck it away somewhere.
Enjoy

i aint got a red pipe, is it a red wire coz ive got one of them coming from the side of the head gasket.
Av also got a pipercross for a 1.2, got cable ties and metal clip things that fix the filter to the plastic tubing, its a true bodge job but effective

No, only 8v's (IIRC) have this pipe.
You can get a cleaning kit from any Pipercross retailer, online from Demon Tweeks, etc.
Or clean it out by reading:

The bit you really should get is the can of dirt retention oil. It just helps with filtration. You can't use anything else instead of this oil.

It is only the 8v's that have the red vacuum pipe and thats only due to the SPI system afaik.

is it only the 8v engines that have the pipe from manifold as have a look at few pics of bigger engines and the pipe seems to go the right instead of the left,
do I definately just leave the hole there thats left?!?

You don't remove the little tube, you block it off. So it's still connected at one end and is blocked off at the other.
