the person who jumped (and lands) first walks in the direction the plain was heading (assuming he can still see it)
The person who jumped second simply stays where he is.

maybe the road is only 10 foot long so they can see where each other lands anyway and talk to him straight away without moving

They decide before the jump that they will both walk north at a specific pace.
They both leave their parachutes where they land on the road, when the more southerly person finds the more nothernly guys parachute, he doubles his pace.

yes so north east south west. if its morning and then the sun will be in the east so it should be to the right of them as they walk and vice versa for evening.
buggered for midday tho

that would make it easier.... if they were both as bad/ good as each other they'd both end up in heaven/hell
As for leaving the road they'd be pretty much plastered to it depending on the altitude they fell from
