how have you done yours?

I was just going to connect the amp to the onboard sound card via an 2xRCA - 3.5mm phone plug.

3.5mm Head Phone Socket to Phono Cable i would do it. Used to have mine done that way but not really got the space anymore

wrong its 2xphono plug (aka RCA) to 3.5mm jack plug

Yeah my mistake, the 3.5 is not phono.

im using a 3.5mm headphone jack going to stereo phone and it works fine. My new motherboard also has optical digital out, but my home cinema amp blew up about a year ago so i cant test it out
