From a dealer....
I have only test driven a car when i showed alot of interest in the car etc etc.
Could i go to a dealer and ask him straight off im interested in xxxxx and i wanna test drive it? Or do u need to book etc etc.

i test em all the time. Some garages are a bit funny about letting you go on your own and some are cool with it. Just give them a fake phone number because they ring u all the time after trying to get u to buy it!

I took a little drive in a new Mini ONE when they first come out. Was dead funny when the guy started talking £££ when i had none

just don't ask to drive the top model of anything, else they're bound to be suspicious and will want to know all your details first!
