went to look at one today
it was awsome thing, sounds mint and looked propper old skool classic
this one i went to look at was Black 86k in good condition, 2.1 carbs, just have engine rebuild all the lotus add on's.....
only problem was the interior was alittle tatty (rips and stuff)
BUT
i am still thinking about it as he wants £4.5k for it but i am finding it have to spend that much cash on a old V-reg car :S

what people think of these? or am i just getting old

(the one below is for sale at £7000)

there a true classic, i would love one!
My mum had one years ago and traded it in for a brand new FRST!

Need to be looked after, personally i would prefer a mk1 escort with a zetec on tb's!

there was a Cossie power Mk1 Escort i went to look at aswell, total restored (he said) in white you may have seen it.
he wanted 7.5k but went i look at the bay and stuff was covered in filler and u could see all the stress marks on the joins where it had ripped itself apart

i just fancy a nice clean mint old skool car, looked at the ford Mk1 XR2 how cool are they, missed out on a Bargin Nova Sport few weeks back on Ebay

i will find somthing....

mk1 escort needs doign properly, dads plannign to get 5 shells from a scrappy in cyprus!
need full sandblasting and strenthening all over. With the turret kit, cossie engines are too powerful, same with the kit car we had, cudnt get the power down and wud boost up mid corner etc!
Zetec on tb's or a well looked after pinto thats been tuned will serve a mk1 escort!
Nothing amazing i know but always put a smile of your face!

does brett wanna sell his nova?
thats special!

Its attention to detail that stands out, that km2 above is nice but not 7.5k just as it has a cossie engine

The lotu sunbeams are great motors but it v difficult to get parts.

Stick with vauxhalls and get a HSR CHEVETTE. 2.3 on carbs.

twin, double choke Dellorto carburettors giving 150+ bhp at 6000rpm and 145 lb/ft torque at 5000rpm.

theres only 30something of them left but you could get an HS.
