Megane 1.6 1598cc (1996-98 ) 5w-40 or 10w-40

i would use one of the above.

if your car is still low miliage then use the 5w40
if yours is a high mileage then use 10w 40

the w details the operating temps it can go to

5W is something like -25'C - someone will quote me wrong but its something like that.

10w 40 mate, tis what we use in vws of similar age

i wouldn't use 15w 50 mate,
use 10w 40

I'd say 5w-40 for better cold start protection.

So looks like 5w it is
