McCarthy tells Stig tales
Thursday 27th January
You can't get into trouble in a Suzuki Liana, he says
Racing driver Perry McCarthy has given an insight on Crash.net into what it was like as Top Gear's 'The Stig' -- the guy in the darkened helmet and the abysmal taste in MOR pop, if that's not tautological. Apparently, the songs weren't his real choice...
Among his insights are the stand-out celebrity drivers -- Jay Kay and Jodie Kidd were his favourites -- and the choice of ordinary car.
It's a Suzuki Liana, of which McCarthy said, "Because of the nature of the vehicle, they [the celebrities] wouldn’t need to worry about fantastic amounts of power coming in so they couldn’t really get themselves into too much trouble, so it was a really good choice of vehicle."
And if you have yet to read McCarthy's hilarious autobiography, Flat Out, Flat Broke; Formula One the Hard Way, you should get yourself a copy today.

To be honest ive never heard of him....
*Sorry if old news*
