Welcome.

Corsas are slower than Novas unfortunately, they're a bit heavier! Nothing a bit of a diet, LSD and proper tyres won't sort.

karen has a point.
but considering he wasn't specific on which corsa, i used my initiative and guessed he wanted to know what a standard XE corsa would do.

when my xe was standard with full interior sounds and some kit my mate ran a 15 sec dead at santa pod. I managed a 15.1 and reckon i could of edged into the high 14's if i persisted

Depends on offset and tyres size, I wouldn't though if you want a good quarter.

IF you're fitting 17's, i'd debolt the arches and maybe do a little trimming.
but ditto with what ian says, you're planning on doing 1/4 runs so why you want 17's?

unless it's 17's for everyday use, and just a pair of 14's or 15's for strip action. i could see the point in that, although it's not something i'd be bothered with.

unless it was a car which has hooj bodykits etc. then i 'spose that big wheels will be needed to balance it out.

16s are the best for everyday use, with 195/45s they fill the arches nicely.
