the shark one was real,
it happened in byron bay australia during warm ups for the surfing competition, there are pictures of it everywhere

This one is also real, we often get roll/shelf cloud (arcus) off the coast of NSW after a particularly muggy day. ITs what happens when a large cold front moves off the tasman and hits extrememly humid air, it just builds and builds, until it reaches a point and creates a spectacular storm.

saw that with the cyclone in march 2004,
if anyone doesnt beleive waves can get 8 metres high! and theres still nutters surfing!

was good fun although when it washes off the beach it just pulls you under
