i was doing my refresher course for Offshore Survival....
Incuded being spun round upside down under water in a helicopter, burning my lugs putting out fires etc..... good fun

i would be the limp body found at bottom of pool at the end of exercise if it were me

somefolk were briking it  but there are divers etc in the pool with you if you do get stuck in the belts, windows etc...
Was alot more realistic than last time.... actualy had to open the exits underwater/upside down...
Did 7 dunks....
1 controlled ditch
1 controlled submersion with windows
1 controlled submersion with windows and re-breathers
1 uncontrolled submersion with windows
1 uncontrolled submersion with re-breather
1 uncontrolled capsize with windows
1 uncontrolled capsize with rebreather
had the usual stuff like bobbing around in the pool with lifejackets on with simulated rain etc.... getting into survival crafts etc

Is the course in Montrose?
My mates just done the same one, he's going off to work on the rigs in March and needed it for that! The folks who run it must be making some amount of money from that place!
