No the car is not insured, its just to bring it back as i don't wanna transfer my insurance until the BMW is gone.

some insurance companies let you drive another car 3rd party.

ive been insured on a car for a week before, was quite a bit £££

Nah cos im a named driver i can't drive 3rd party. Not to worried about the cost as long as its not over the top!

Yeh but thats as a named driver on her policy. But this car has no insurance

1 week is the least I can insure my old mans when I need it, only costs £16 tho!

Yeah but these are all named drivers on an existing policy. I need an entire policy for atleast a day

Basically if the policy holder (of your current policy) rings up your current insurance company........you can have another vehicle temp added to the policy. ((this will allow policy holder and all named drivers on policy to drive the said vehicle))

Normally for a minimum period like 10 days or more depending on insurance company etc.


as far as im aware now no insurance companies even do policies for 1 day etc!

i had a few insurance policys for my cars, just say you need a 24 hour cover note

Didn't get charged a penny

But that was a few years ago.

My insurance covers me to drive any other car 3rd party that is in anyone elses name as long as it is fully comp.

But he's a named driver, not a policy holder.
You can get the policy holder to get the car added as a temp. car, then any named drivers get the same cover on that car. I think it's a week minimum, and about 90days maximum.
