Despite your PC's high price and fancy technology, its internal clock isn't reliable. In fact, PCs have two clocks: a software clock powered by Windows that runs when your PC is on, and a battery-powered hardware clock embedded on your PC's motherboard that tracks time when your PC is off. However, both are flawed.

Windows' software clock can lose up to a minute each hour, especially when resource-hungry programs dominate the CPU...

Check that the battery in your laptop hasn't gone... then make sure it's running with plenty of CPU to spare.

Normally windows a windows clock Syncs time with the hardware clock... if the hardware clock has stopped windows will try keep it's own time.... oops, bad idea .... go out and buy another battery.... there should be a little cover that you take off the laptop and get in to it.... it's a similar batter to the one you might pub in your alarm fob... slightly smaller than a 2p.

you can get windows to time sync with a NTP time server, just do a google mate OBviously you need net access

otherwise, if you just network systems together, then you can get it to time sync from another system on the network by typing this command under command prompt - net time \\(network computer name) /set /y
