Fed up with my megane now, nice car put the exhaust is pissing me off and im piling miles on doing 60miles a day to work and back. Been looking at the C SRI 1.8. Can get it for 8.5k brand new from apple cars group. will be looking towards the end of this year. What do you reckon to this car, i know the engine is ok cos its in my dads astra and that shifts pretty well. Hows the handling, interior quality etc.
....or has anyone any alternatives, nothing french or ford though.

Only been in one but the ride seems OK and power is there.

The interior is a let down though much more plastic than the corsa B sport interior making it look cheap

Yeah I have one too, and would definately recommend it.

However like Painz said, for a 1.8 the fuel consumption is shocking.

not driven a 1.8sri, but the interiors ok, is cheap but i would imagine its similar to the astra G. Small extremly nippy and fun car but if your after biased reviews see link below lol http://corsa-c.co.uk/forum/index.php?sid=b2d56d47f0003ccbc53091ef3e077cdb

I gotta travel 30 miles from milnrow(m62 J21) to sharston(m56 J2) to work, so i need a bitta power and the ability to cruise, but would like a bit better mpg.

If the tank on a C is 44ltr and an sri can get around 250 and my megane has 50 ltr and i get bout 280, there isnt much difference really. My driving is mainly motorway and the megane is at bout 3k at 80mph in 5th.

Anyone got comparisons from the 1.8 C?
