Remove it.
Wet and Dry Sand/Smooth It
Primer
Paint
Laquer if need be
Think theres a tutorial knocking about somewhere

i've just done mine.
absolute pain in the arse to get all the bits out for spraying.
even more of a pain in the arse putting it back together again.

yes removing it is one of the most frustrating jobs, trying to get it back on without scratching the fresh paint off is a task in itself
tip: get something like a jumper to put over the painted front section when you are clipping all the control wires back onto the rear of it

i put up a tutorial in a post a little while back do a search 4 it,as 4 putting it back wiv out scrathing it,leave it a few days b4 u put it bk in leavin it to fully harden shudnt have a problem then

Best bet is to spray all the bits on the centre that come off
Knobs
hazard switch
air circulation switch surround..
using method posted above...

go for it mate, just take your time and don't rush! looks good when it's done, i rushed mine and it's pissing me off, so I'm gonna take it all out again and do a proper job!
