Hey folks. My car has reached 69.5k miles so thought i would get her serviced. I know to get the timing belt changed so thats getting done as well as the service and they are looking at the problem i have keeping collant in the engine. My question is what do they do in an intermediate service and how much is it likely to skin me??? Cheers
ps its at an official vauxhall dealership (Kerr and Smith Prestwick)

No!! Not Kerr and Smith!!! They're one of the most expensive places for a service!!!
When you go in, see if Hayley's working there
Normally a few hundred quid.

I think it tells you this on the Vauxhall website, but i wouldn't expect it to be cheap, especially with the timing belt getting done.

If you're getting it serviced, just ask the place doing it what kind of service they do.

What engine's in the car?
If it's a X14/X16/C16 and you're having the belt changed, you might need the rollers changed too - it's normally around the 40k interval, so you should check if it's been done yet.
Stuff like that should be done at a Vauxhall dealership only for the warranty on the parts/service. Other services can be left to more competant and cheaper independant garages.
