My car battery died yesterday so jumped the car and is now workin but the amplifier does not power up.

yes, amplifier was workin before but after jumping my car the leads were still connected to my car and my m8 touched the leads off the other car together. i have checked the 2 fuses in the amp and they seem to be alrite but i have not checked the fuse in the power cable. Could my mate have done some damage to the actual amp and not blown a fuse?
