Ive just been to look at a 1.4 sri ecotec. The garage is wanting £1295 for it.
Its N reg, 62000 miles, full test, New battery and timing belt, Mul-t-loc, interior is in A1 condition as is the out side.
Is the price reasonable?
Cheers

Personally i would have thought that you could pick one up in the free-ads etc for around £800-1000, however it is lowish mileage and if pristine it may be worth the money, try and chip him down a bit and see how low he's willing to go, if its a garage he's obviously making a profit on you, have a good look round the autotrader and free ads first

If it does genuinely have a brand new cambelt that is going to save you a bit of money too, as thats supposedly the first thing you should do when you get a secondhand motor (unless there's proof it's been done obviously)
