My mate took his Corsa C into Vauxhall yesterday about the engine on his Exclusiv making a funny noise and while he was there he was asking them about the New Corsa Turbo that he had heard they are bringing out next year. They told him that there is going to be a 1.6 Turbo and a 2.0 16v coming out next year under the VXR badge? I thought that they had decided not to build the 1.6 turbo? Anyone got any more info on this cos I havent heard anything about this but thats what the people at the Vauxhall garage are reckoning

Both the 1.6 and 2.0 were scrapped in favour of the new 1.7 EMA powerplant GM have been working on in conjunction with Yugo.
Initial reports hint that the new engines will be restricted to no less than 165ps to give them on up over the Ford Fiesta, with potential turbo'd variants appearing to coincide with Opels key involvement in the Euro1700 championship series in 2006.

Apparently the 1.6 turbo is going in the Corsa D, due out 2006.

Nah my mates pet gold fish brother lives in the tank in the Main GM/Vauxhall Board room and hes said its going to be a 7lt V8 Quad Turbo 
i have heard both storys of the 1.6 turbo and the 2lt.
God knows what its going to be.......
they seam the change the story each week 
prob when the my mates goldfish Leaks the ideas to the world
