Can anybody tell me what happens when your caught over the speed limit by a police van thats watching peoples speed as they go past (cant remember the name!)
I think if your less than 10% over the speedlimit then your fine but if your over that then will they send me a fine and give me points?

i.e
u can have 33 in a 30
66 ina 60 etc

No it was about 1/2 a foot from the van and i couldnt even read the writing it was so fcuking small and my lights reflected off it then as i went past i saw the stripes on the side of the van the rear end was just white. i was just under 40 but none of the cars infront were breaking an everyone was bombing it down there.

Dont think so cos in my rear view mirror i could see 2 coppers sitting looking at the camera and the screen, bloody hope it was a tax disc check.

they should be by law 3/4 a mile from the camera or they dont count
also if something does come through ask for photographic evidence & also if the camera has been calibrated, as 9 times ou tof 10, mobile cameras aren't calibrated properly or at all & so read wrong.

if it was a tax disk checking van, it wouldnt have been coppers in there as these ones are performed by the DVLA

It was a cop van but there were no illuminated strips on the back it was just white but the sides were normal and they sure as hell looked like cops

if you did get caught speeding it would be a fine and points, but if the van was unmarked then you should request to see the van

Well i didnt mean to its just trying to crawl along at 30 along this long road is just asking for trouble cos ive even seen cops speed along it
