was at a new shops open day at the weekend...nearly came when i went into the showroom





the real deal, just minus at engine just now!

bit of a shite warranty with no engine! was told it was a 1.6 and its getting a 2.0 xe very soon.

the wee bits on the back arch are kevlar too....mmmmmm

yes just say the extra 400cc doesnt matter, as with your xe history it is likely to develop a fault half way round anyway

The whole of the kit is Kevlar - I had one in fibreglass.

Cheers mate

Basically because it was too wide - there wouldn't have been enough room under the arches for the wheels to turn if I ran spacers, and if I did it properly then it would have cost far too much.

Ah well - the plans have moved on now. The money that I saved by not getting it has gone on an engine and a carbon bonnet. I'd rather have a fast 'road racer' than a slow rally car!

The engine from SRE for that car would cost sooooooooo much, cheaper to plonk a TB's 20XE in that buy the 210BHP 1600 though. not to mention the gearbox's on those too. :eek:

Whole car including engine costs $100000 from Ray Mallock Ltd. Not bad really.

I had to cut 2 of the bolts to get mine out the car cause they had seized!

i know the kit is kevlar, i looked into one a good while ago, i was just saying the stone gaurds were kevlar also.
