Bit of scaremongering in the sales pitch, and there's nothing in there that isn't common sense or that any good soliciter / experienced driver wouldn't know.

Nope, just going on what I've read on that page.

You should never produce your licence because if you do its very easy to give you an endorsement. If you don't produce it at the road side, its more work to chase it up. Plus your details can then be checked with a HORT 1 form which the officer who stopped you won't do much extra paperwork for.

That book even tells you what to say - probably sorry officer I shouldn't have been going that fast, I'm really sorry and won't do it again. I don't have my licence or insurance details with me but I am licenced and insured and willingly produce at a station if required to do so. You'll then get a producer, 7 days to nip down to the station, the copper knows you're legal to drive, you've shown some remorse and you've had some minor inconvenience but nothing that requires hard work.

It'll probably also say don't argue the case at the roadside, don't try and outsmart the copper because that'll annoy him and don't show him any paperwork because he'll take it off you.

Hardly difficult stuff.
