Just been over Newbury picking up Rachel from college and had a race up that long straight road towards the college with a Mk2 red XR2 with a RS Turbo lump in it.
Bloke went past me and I floored it stayed level with him and I was sat up his batty, he followed me into the car park and was amazed I kept up with him his words were "I normally kill Novas so knew it were'nt standard"
Then on the way home another RS Turbo, this time a proper one, another red one in immaculate condition trys racing me from Theale to junction 12 of the M4, this one was a little faster but still kept up with him.
All this with a SPi fuel pump, with MPi I would kill them

With a LET I would have spun across the road and ended up in a ditch

mate has a stripped & cadged up XR2 Turbo, its his Combe car , running approx 230Bhp with Zetec bottom end, fifth injector , acua mist few Ks worth or pennies spent on it, runs laps round cars at combe
