re: traction I would have thought hed have better traction seeing as yours is a turbo. A fiesta Zetec-s would do me in the wet over 200lb/ft torque through front wheels is not good

kinda true but remember the fto torque spread will be a far superior curve and should only lose out at the peak output so there4 in a straight line the turbo should have the advantage but throw in a few bends and when the turbos off peak boost the ftos gonna have that bit extra threw the rev range,,also would depend on gearing but i have no idea what the boxs are in a turbo coupe as loadsa torque means nothing without proper gearing
most ftos are 4 speed tiptronics so u gotta think of what a smooth torque range building up to 177pfts like through them 4 gears,,,tis pish in the wet

most of the ftos in this country are tips bud,,genrally the 4speed ones like icv got with a top speed of gpsd 157 but there are some 5speeders that have standard gearing capable of 180mph hovever very few have the engine power to do that

They never came with turbo's so if the engine had been turbo'd he would have left u without a doubt.

my m8 has a GPX with a manual gearbox and its certainly not slow....
id say it vs an astra GSi Turbo wud be quite level tho...

dont get me wrong, i have always loved the look of them and really fancied one a couple of years back specifically a mivec manual. Just couldnt justify group 20 insurance for the performance, might as well have bought a teg type R or a fiat coupe 20v Turbo.

I don't know if it had a turbo and no, he didn't leave me. The Astra was quicker maybe four times he attempted. I think he wasn't making the most of the car tbh. Sounds like it should have done better.

They look nice and go well once going but i wouldnt say there fast from a standing start, after 90 + it still surprises me how well it pulls

there practically the same performance as a teg r,,i can pull away from standardish ones with just xhausts and filters but anything above that and they seem to win hands down,,,however this was road driving and not track as on a track theyd whip ma ass  never raced a fiat but id expect to get beaten,,,plus the tegs look minging standardish
both cars have a better tuning ability than the fto tbh though
