was that on your own policy or parents?
i think the only way i can get a gsi, is have me mum as main driver...would still be expensize though....but i really want a gsi...my 1.2 is gonna start having problems soon, its running over 110k now....i hate the speedo problem...(10mph out)i hate the rust (on the door panals)...the scrathces, the chips on front bonnet etc.....i hate the dam car well, atleast when i'm driving it....i love the colour though

so ur gonna commit insurance fraud then - grrr really pisses me off - and the reason all the genuine people who work hard to insure their cars in their own names legally have to pay over the odds - and do u really think come crash time - the insurance company wont question that your mum was never the main driver -and it was u - and as such refuse to pay out???? they arnt stupid

When looking for a GSi, just remember that the '94 ones are quicker than any of the later models as they are pre-ectotec. Only 3 Extra BHP but seems to be quite a bit quicker 0-60.

Comes down to driver, get a Mantzel box and Unichip and the main differences between the engines disapear.

the reason i wanna upgrade is not mainly for the power of the engine.PAS, electric windows, ABS etc i would love on a car
Its also great to know you have 100+ bhp under the bonnet when the time comes to thrash a saxo.Another reason i really wanna get rid of ther 1.2 is the fuel enconomy, really bad.....i think the engine needs work...as its coming upto 110,000 miles....the performance is really poor....and tbo i'm sick of getting my ass thrashed off the line by shitty french crap that all look the same.I'm gonna start looking around, but i need to sort out my ride quality....as the back is rubbing with 1 person in back....i have 50 on front and 45 tires on back..so doing a straight swap tomoz,, hopfully that will sort it..and its ready to be sold
Did you not listen? - You're completely mad.. infact.. insane!... i guess i am just old in my head... i got my first car when i was 18.. a 1.3 shitty e reg metro.. it did the job i wanted.. it got me from a to b & back again and i never crashed it, i then got another metty (m reg 1.1s!) both awful performance but they were cars to get me going. I got my Corsa just after I turned 20, with 2y ncb, & 2 years experience costing me £766 on my insurance TPFT.
I was absolutely stunned i never crashed my car the way i used to drive, nor get a speeding fine or anything.. and that was in a shite car.. if i was in my gsi when i first passed my test i no doubt would of crashed it within weeks of getting it.
Seriously, wait until you're a bit more experienced.. 6 months / 1 year... not only will you be more experienced you'll also make one hell of a saving on the insurance for having 1 years ncb & 1 years experience... i paid £1300 for my insurance on my metty 1.3, on the 2nd year i paid 780 for my 1.2/1 M reg metty.
I can understand you wanting to thrash the pants off other people... believe me everybody does it... but no doubt these kids are either in a ditch 2 weeks later or haver been driving for a considerable amount of time and even then you can crash.... just give it 6 months or longer, by then you'll be a bit more mature & understand cars much better

O also, your fuel encomny will probably be worse if you're thrashing it everywhere.. i usually get about 300 miles out of my corsa now days.. the first month i had it i got about 150 out of it.. i'll let you work out why
Buy a smaller engined corsa with all the trimmings you can get a really nice looking corsa for very little money now days.. the GSI's really hold their value well... and you'll be wasting so much money considering what you could get for the same price but a lesser engine.
