no mykes didnt go well they wernt deep enough do he couldnt get the brakes on in the end he had to go out and buy a set of cross vaux hubs

best bet would be to get a set of hubs and matched shafts as they will take corsa bearings and you get a life time waranty

Pay Lee mitchell about £1000 and he will fit it for you and supply all the parts
pay Lee mitchell for mounts
get cav hubs machined for corsa bearings
lower tie bar to clear pas pump
and some one else fill me in on what else ya need oh and you can grind off the lip on the rear gear box mount so it sits flush

Lee mitchell is a guy off here, if ya give him £1500 he finds and engine for you takes ya old one out and puts the new one in including ATE 16v brakes for that price, a C20LET is about £2500 fitted, but if ya got an engine give him a shout and he will give ya a quote on fitting it, he does most peoples off here, its a drive in drive out service, Beardy also does the converisons too but i think he is too far north for you.

Had a let and sold it
I have the engine and all the bits.

All i need is someone to literally pick up the engine and dump it in the corsa and wire in everything and get it running thats all i would need him to do really.

blimey, you cahange your mind a lot don't you?
last thing you posted you were selling the corsa for another turbo weren't you?
good choice to xe the corsa though.

i had my cally hubs machined for the corsa bearings, but as Fad says, that all went a bit tits up. the diameter was fine to press into the bearing, but they needed taking further back so that the discs would sit centrally in the calipers. i never realised this untill it came to re-assembly, by which time the hub and the new bearing got ruined whilst being knocked out.

cost £30 for the machining, but was a total waste of time for me. if you take them to someone who has succesfully done it before, then you shouldn't have a problem, but bear in mind that the machined hubs are weaker than the custom ones.

there's a guy on mig doing hubs and mount kit for a ton, then you can use the cav shafts.

I know i know, lol

Cost to much to justity turbo'ing it but the 20XE is a good choice and will be able to harness the power.

Was going to sell it and have another turbo but i fancy playing with the Corsa i just looked at it and decided i couldnt sell it - to clean to tidy and i would really stuggle to find another one like it if i wanted another one so i think ill keep this for a few years.
Looking forward to it.

Myke i swear i have meet you or something - didnt you take your sump off at Nobottle roundabout?
