a GSi ecotec engine on its OWN worth? with no gearbox, loom, ecu etc, its got 94k on the clock and its had 8 new valves, new piston linings, pre tensioners, and cam belt 3k ago

1.6 16v 106bhp as standard

im getting the same engine as mine from a T reg sport with 34k on the clocks so i have no need to replace everything, if i get the gearbox etc with the engine, which tbh i have no need, then its extra cost to me to get it fitted, so im merely replacing my engine with the same engine, and selling mine

this one has less mileage and is a good price and its costing me next to nothing to get it fitted so im getting a good deal really just want to know what to ask for mine

if your old engine has had 8 new valves the head must have been re-built, and if its had new piston rings, ya dont have liners in vauxhalls, then there wont be much up with the engine you got surely

This sounds like a ridiculous plan, the cambelt rollers might go on the X16XE and will blow up.

You take a risk with any engine, keep yours its really not worth changing it.
