Recently been going out to the car and its just not starting.

Lights all come up on dash + digi millage, go to turn key and it try's for a second then nothing.

BUT other times it'll start with a bit of go, then runs fine.

Checked alternator belt and its fine, even tightened it slightly to make sure.

Possibly need a new battery?

Check voltage across battery terminals - is it 12ish volts? and then make sure it rises to around 14ish with the engine running. . .

stick it in the freezer overnight, then give it ten minutes in the microwave.
