I was thinking of getting one at one point. Living in Norfolk though most of the roads I drive are twisty, so I'm still thinking of going for a 106 GTI.

106 GTi's are great little cars

Nice cars.... quite nippy in a straight line... my mates ran 15.4 standard at Elvington this summer ... cant corner for shit though... love the front end of them.... really tidy looking.... not a drivers car though

It has 140k on the clocks, this puts me off a little. I know the engine probably wont have that mileage on it but everything else on the car will.

Think i'll stick with the Corsa until something special pops up.

Lovely looking astra, athough it may look nice, maybe worth quizing the guy about the engine history etc.......
Just because the rocker cover and everything looks shiny doesn't mean the internals are upto scratch

But yeah in gerenal i like it.

Its not the engine i'm worried about. Everything bar some panels on that car have seen 140k. Surely they cant have that much left in them before the need renewing.
