Rover 220Di or SDi. Fastest Diesel in its class and only group 6 (or it could be 8) insurance. Leccy windows+sunroof, p/s, alarm+imobiliser.

306 TD. The 205 D is not bad if you can pick a mint one up.

I had a 205 1.8 diesel and it was great, pulled really well, as said before, find a mint one and it will go on and on and on and on.......

corsa 1.7d last forever, very reliable,only had good experiences with these

If you're getting a diesel, get a turbo diesel, otherwise they're just sluggish.

he wants cheep and reliable,who said owt about been speedy
going fast is not the point of a diesel, bigger engined diesels aren't sluggish, the size of the engine makes up for them been D, but whats the point in getting a huge engined one, as its gonna be just as dear on fuel as a small engined petrol?
