it can be done mate but it wouldnt be worth it, unless you just wanted the dump valve noise like most young lads do. would be as powerful as a 1.4 sri 16v once it was bolted on

oh right no point then!

drunkenfool is selling a fast road cam for 100quid, if i were to put this on my nova 1.4 8v would it work ok just by putting that in or would i have to buy other bits aswell? you get what i mean?

his was a 16v, got good power from it too in the end

it was an sri engine 16v already 90bhp before turbo went on

Sunny it would give you a gain, maybe an extra 3-5bhp but any gains a bonus so why not?

A lad called niven had a 1.4 8v (MPI sri) with a turbo bolted on by courtney plus a few other bits n bobs done was runing about 140 bhp iirc but very I hear they are unreliable and it's alot more efficient and cost effective to throw a 2.0 16v in which is why everyone does it.

Another who had the black sri with 18's etc on his from near daimo's area he had similar problems apparantley.

BTW I have a spare c14se (1.4 8v mpi 82bhp) which you could have for cheap to play with if you want?
