thought i was heading in the right direction, making pretty good progress, but i've come unstuck.
the hubs that i had machined for my conversion aren't going to work.
the garage that were pressing them back in warned me that they didn't look right after doing the first one, but i told him to carry on and do the second anyway.
just reassembling bits, and the brakes aren't going back on.
seems they weren't machined down far enough to get the discs central to the caliper.
here's how far off it is, so the caliper hanger wont even go back on.

so that's £80worth of new bearings fucked by the time they come out again, and i'm now going to have to fork out for shafts that go into the corsa hubs, which wont now arrive before trax, so i'm kinda pissed.

have you uprated the disks? if so did you uprate the caliper carrier as well, looks like it lines up but is for smaller disks.

yesh!!!! i had a v6 brake pad fall on my toe when i was doing my brake upgrade.... i lost the nail and all and the thing still hassent grown back right.... EXTREMELY painfull tooo.
myke.... not the end of the world just step back and look at the best way to fix the problem then go back at it.... when is the show on? this weekend? it would be tempting faith to rush it now and not do something right and then have to get towed home....

i have to wear boots all day at work, so there's no way i'd be wearing them at home too when i have the option not to.
one of the calipers fell off of the tie bar while i was underneath onto my head, does this mean i need to wear a hard hat while working on my car
gona need a new pair of bearings anyway, just dunno whether to get the hubs machined back further or buy custom shafts.

i believe i stated a thing called a 'JOKE' this is a light hearted, unmeaningful statement to be taken in good spirit.
