This is what i have, its broken  any help?
Tamiya TL-01
- Motor= Kyosho 70902-17w xspeed stock motor, (was told it was an 11 turn motor, can anyone confirm it)
- battery = Ripmax 7.2v 3000mAh Comp Pk Tam Con 9 (had a few batteries melt and then got sold this one, it didn't melt)
decided to get a new speed controller and i think its this that has broken
speed controller = Volcano, input voltage = 5-10 cells, and its says motor turn = 12-36 turn.
Am thinking that if my motor is 11t its something to do with that?????
really confused, wanna buy a new speed controller (if that buggered)
what do i need? what ESC would u recommend?
i know bugger all

Was engine really hot when it was working?
Yea would be down to esc,
Cheap one to limit of 11 turn is a Mtroniks Sonik4 Tempo11 - cost me £35 from www.goldstarstockists.com this only has 2 gears though forward and brake, if you want reverse in there you gonna be paying abit more for that priviledge.

i've seen an LRP one for about £45 quid.
on the kyosho site its says my motor is 17*2 turn????
whats that mean?

it worked for a while then broke after a few trips out with it
